The tour starts in the Regiment No. 21 Arica de La Serena and goes down to the Francisco de Aguirre, the main entrance road to the city, to the famous lighthouse of La Serena, built between 1951 and 1953, transformed into a tourist resort in 1985.
Then we will visit the mosque or Mohammed VI Center for Dialogue of Civilizations, which opened in March 2007.
Next - the Coquimbo Stadium which is known for the fans of the World Cup, then a descend to the market and the port of the city. The English Quarter, old houses of the early nineteenth century, and a part of the Historic Preservation Area of the commune will be visited.
The next stop is the Mirador de Fort Lambert, a true relic of the port, built during the second half of the seventeenth century, situated in the area called Punta de Pelícanos.
Guayacan is a small port located in Region IV from which shipments of iron ore and oil take place. It belongs to the Portuaria Coquimbo that corresponds to Pacific Mining Company, CMP
The tour continues to the Cross of the third millennium, the Christian faith memorial monument located on a lookout hill. Later, we will visit the famous Pampilla of Coquimbo, a land where Chile's independence is celebrated on 18-20 September.
