Day
Arrive in

We'll start as soon as we get to the island: from Giglio Porto we make our way up to wonderful Giglio Castello (400 mt) along a lovely path surrounded by the typical mediterranean vegetation (oaks, heather, helichrysum, cistus, myrtle, mastic). The path takes us straight into principal square of Giglio Castello, Piazza Gloriosa in rememberance of the epic battle of 1799 still celebrated on each November 18. We'll see all the wondeful sites of the island, Poggio del sasso ritto, Punta del Capel rosso and its lighthouse, Poggio della Pagana, Giglio Campese, the beaches, the marvellous sea, the terraces of vineyards and wine presses. Towards the end of our day, hungry and tired, we'll take in the atmosphere of the island in a small bar or restaurant.
