Description

Ancient Olympia is one of the most prominent ancient sites of Greece. It is the place where the Olympic Games were born as well as some of the most important values  and ideals related to the sports and the human need for exercising the body, that  still can be traced in our times. In a beautiful scenery on the western part of  Peloponnese, the visitor will be able to discover the fascinating story of the games, to see wonderful and important ancient temples and buildings, to have a taste of  greek mythology, of the “cosmos” of greek gods and heroes.

The guided tour lasts four (4) hours and includes:

the visit to the archaeological site

the visit to the archaeological museum of Olympia which hosts the impressive

findings from the excavations on the site

free time in the modern village of Olympia, to stroll, to talk, to have refreshment and relax.

I will be delighted to guide you in Ancient Olympia and share with you my knowledge and admiration about the site.
