What is more beautiful than discovering ancient legendary cities of the famous Silk Road as Samarkand, Bukhara or Khiva the Holy Mystery? What's better than being welcomed by the inhabitants of these mythical cities? What's more impressive than being charmed by the beauty and richness of the decorations of the most beautiful historical and architectural monuments of the most beautiful country in the world?

This tour will allow you to discover the rich treasures of Islamic architecture in Central Asia and to better understand the unique hospitality of Uzbeks. During this trip, full of emotions, you will feel a typical "Oriental" spirit to the bottom of your soul. This is what I am willing to offer you.

1 day

Europe-Tacnkent. Night flight to Tashkent.

day 2


Arrive early morning in Tashkent and reception at the airport by your local guide. A transfer to your hotel.

Breakfast. Departure to the first discoveries of the capital: the Khasti Imam assembly including the mausoleum of Kaffali Shashiy, the méders Barakh Khan madrassah Mouyi Mouborak, which houses the Museum of the Koran and the Khazrati-Imam mosque. You will continue with the madrasah Abulcasim which has been transformed into the develop-center of traditional crafts.

Lunch in a local restaurant (at your expense).

In the afternoon you will visit the Independence Square, Amir Temur Square, the metro of Tashkent, unique in Central Asia.

Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

 Three days

Tashkent-Kokand-Rishtan-Ferghana (350km)


Early departure for the long road to the Ferghana Valley, Golden Valley of Uzbekistan. Along the way you will be enchanted by the landscapes of Kamchik (more than 2200km). Arrival in Kokand and visit the sights of the city. With its shady parks and architectural monuments such as the Palace of Khoudayarkhan housing the regional museum, the Djuma mosque, madrasah and the necropolis of Norboutabey Modarikhan, the "windy city" will certainly attract your attention.

Lunch in a local tchaykhana (at your expense).

Drive to Rishtan city ceramists (50km). You will visit one of the workshops of ceramics and can follow almost entire manufacturing process. Travel to Ferghana. Arrival at the hotel.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

day 4

Ferghana--Margilan Fergana (12km).


Road to Margilan. When arrived, you will visit the factory "Yodgorlik", unique in Central Asia for the traditional production of silk fabrics and follow all processes of reeling and weaving. The city tour of the famous bazaar of Margilan, where your eyes will be delighted with the variety of fruits and vegetables, grown in this generous country. You will also visit the mosque "Khonaqo" and woodwork and paintings that adorn the "house of God" will undoubtedly impress you.

Back to Ferghana, "the greenest city in Central Asia" where you will visit the green park of Al Ferghaniy with his statue built in the years of independence. Free time.

Back in Tashkent.

Lunch on the road (at your expense).

Arrival and transfer to the domestic airport and flight to Nukus.

Transfer to the hotel.

day 6


Breakfast. Departure to visit the museum of Savitskiy called "the Louvre of the desert". The Museum of Fine Arts UNESCO protects one of the finest collections of the masters of the Soviet avant-garde, 20-30 years of last century. It also has an important Karakalpak crafts and antiques capital of Khorezm.

Afternoon departure to the wonderful Khiva. Arrive in late afternoon and transfer to hotel.

day 7

Lovely Khiva.


Khiva. This little world of isolated tales behind the sands of Karakum (Black Sands them) This authentic oasis of art is a true town-museum in the open air. Walking through the streets of Ichan Kal'a you will hear the breathing of the oldest centuries. The architecture of Khiva strikes visitors with its monumental forms, its decorations of rare elegance, extremely complicated paintings and its particular style. You will visit Aminkhan madrassah of Muhammad and his famous unfinished minaret, Kunya Ark (the first residence of the khans of Khiva), madrassah of Muhammad Rakhimkhan II, the Djuma Mosque and the Tosh-Khaouli palace (the second residence of the khans)

Your afternoons will be devoted to visit the madrasa and minaret of Islam Khodja, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum and Palace Nouroulla-bay.

day 8



Departure to one of the pearls of the Orient whose visit will be particularly thorough. You will ride through the steppes and desert dunes Kizil Kum (Red Sands). Photo-stops are provided on the road.

Lunch in a desert café (at your expense).

Arrival in the afternoon and transfer to hotel. Walk in the historic center of Bukhara.

Dinner at homestay. Overnight at hâtel.

Day 9

Holy Bukhara.

Breakfast. Day dedicated to a comprehensive tour of this charming city.

Traditional Bukhara has kept its charm, even if it no longer has all of its 360 mosques. If Samanids mausoleum and the mausoleum of Tchashmai Ayoub show you the power of two great emperors, the minaret of Kalon all Poi-Kalon offers mosques and madrasahs retracing all the architectural evolution, Karahan to Cheybanides in decor punctuated with domes, ancient silk markets.

In the afternoon, we will visit the mosque whose splendid Karakhanid style facade dates back to the twelfth century and all Labi-Hauz, built around the basin of adjacent madrassah Koukeldash, still frequented by many inhabitants of the city. Then you will stroll under the Trade dome and also have an opportunity to discover the Uzbek crafts.

10 Day

Holy Bukhara.


Start your day by visiting the Chor-Minor madrassah ("Four towers"), then with the mausoleum of Bakhaouddun Naqshbandiy, founder of a Sufi order which counted in its ranks the great thinkers and still has a large audience today in Asia. The discovery of the summer residence of Bukhara emirs dernuiers will be just as fascinated as visiting other treasures of Bukhara.

Lunch in a local tchaykhana (at your expense).

Free afternoon to stroll around or for shopping. Your day will conclude with a folk concert in a madrasa in the city.

11 Day



Departure to Shakhrisabz, hometown of Timur the Great by the road through the steppe of Karshi. Visit the Palace of Ak-Saray, Gumbaz mosque Kouk, mausoleum Djakhanghir, eldest son of Temur and Khazrati-Imam mosque.

Lunch in a local tchaykhana (at your expense).

The road to Samarkand on the Paradise. Arrival at the hotel. Free time.

Dinner with the locals. Overnight at hotel.

12 Day

Idyllic Samarkand.


Departure for the discovery of this fascinating city with its slender minarets, sumptuous mausoleums and majestic turquoise domes. Visit the Registan Square, surrounded by three madrasahs: Ouloughbek, Sher-Dor and Tilla-Kari. Geometry, perspective effects and decoration of facades enchant the eye. The visit to the Bibi-Khanym mosque and walk to the Siab bazaar, typical and popular market that offers unforgettable moments of this "city of lions".

In the afternoon transfer to the Observatory Ouloughbek and visit the mosque Khazrati-Khizr, where each caravan was taking the tracks had to seek guidance and protection. Visit the mausoleum of Gur Emir, where you will be enchanted by the delicacy of the interior and exterior decoration.

This morning you will discover Shakhi Zinda, the precious pearl of Samarkand. The discovery of the wonderful mausoleums of this vast and beautiful complex, built to house the mausoleum of the Prophet's cousin and the graves of members of the ruling dynasty, will give you the best memories of your stay in Samarkand. The visit will be devoted to the paper factory, the country's only paper mill.

Transfer to the station and train to Tashkent. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Free time.

14 Day

Tashkent-Chimgan-Charvak-Beldersay-Tashkent (80 km).

Breakfast. Route for the water tank of Charvak. On the road, you can admire the beautiful landscapes of Chimgan Beldersay and other areas. Arrival in Charvak. This small Uzbek French Riviera is located on the foothills of the Tian-Shan (the Celestial Mountains) Western. An easy hike and swimming.

Picnic by the lake

In early afternoon return to Tachkent. Free time

Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight at a hotel.
