Day
Arrive in

Day 1:

Pereira arrival and transfer to the hotel, Sonesta located in Pereira / Risaralda. Departure to the Cocora Valley 1 hour approx from the city of Pereira. Cocora Valley is a natural area located in a plain of the Central Cordillera of the Colombian Andes more exactly in Quindío, Colombia and which belongs to the Los Nevados National Natural Park. This area is the home of Colombia's national tree, Quindío’s wax palm (Ceroxylon quindiuense), and also of a great diversity of flora and fauna, greatly endangered and protected under the state natural national park. This place is covered by different shades of green, after your visit it will be marked in your memory and recollections for the rest of your life. Lunch, back in the small town of Salento; a short walk should show you the traditional local architecture, before reaching the main square, where you’ll find a great diversity of entertainment offered. then a visit to Calle Real, with its crafts and to the panoramic Cocora Valley and Alto de la Cruz. Break time: (coffee and  cake). Finally we return to Pereira - hotel Sonesta, for the respective housing.

Day 2:

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the town of Santa Rosa de Cabal for the coffee tour; where you can live a unique experience with the coffee culture. Enjoy the exclusive experience of a typical coffee, grown in Colombia’s heartland. Lunch. Then a visit to Santa Rosa de Cabal's crafts, where you will appreciate various handmade products by local artisans. We then continue to the Santa Rosa hot springs; located in a privileged place for recreation and rest, with a unique ecological environment, where you can see mountains and waterfalls of thermal water and cold water; these thermal waters spring from the earth at a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius and travel down the waterfalls until they reach the pools at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. Finally we go to the city of Manizales, for accommodation at the Estelar El Cable Hotel.

 

Day 3:

Free day, to enjoy a walk through the city of Manizales, to shop or to enjoy a delicious local or international cuisine.

 

Manizales is located at 2150 meters above sea level. Founded in 1849 by settlers from Antioquia, it offers visitors a world of culture and architectural beauty thanks to its attractions such as; the Cathedral, the pre-Columbian Museum, the Archaeology Museum of Manizales, among others. Manizales is called  "The City of Open Doors". This name comes from the abundance of the so-called "peanut stones" which are gray granite rocks, composed of mica, feldspar and quartz. A set of these stones would be called Manizal. Manizales means peanut set of stones.
