Description

Come on a wonderful archaeological experience with me on the sacred island of Artemis and Apollo. The ancient Greek city tells a tale full of glamour and money! Lets take a journey back into the past touring the remains of the city and see the history in the cracks of time. The most entertaining and informative way to see Delos.

We meet at the quay, 100m from the town hall, where the boats to Delos depart from.

We will buy our round tickets (18€ per person) from the Kiosk.

30 minutes we arrive at the site and enter with no queue.

Stop at the Agora of the Competaliasts, We walk through an area with various ancient shops and workshops, to find out how the city was built.

On to the House of Dionysos (4th-3rd century BC) to see the amazing mosaic and hear about the structure of the building and also its stories. The House of Cleopatra is just a few metres away where the owner Cleopatra and Dioskourides her husband erected statues at the doorway of their Hellenistic mansion

Then to theThe House of the Trident with several mosaics frescoes still remaining on its walls.

Go up to the theatre of Delos and then move to the House of the Dolphins and the House of the Masks

Continue to the mount of Cynthos which we can choose to climb if we feel up to it. Or instead we could visit the temple of Isis and the Egyptian quarter before moving to the museum .

Then to the the Sacred Lake to hear about the birth of Apollo and Artemis.

On our way back to the boat we have a quick look at the statue of Artemis and Apollo,

Over 2.5 hrs of guidance we will be left astounded
