A rare taste of Maltese gastronomy based in the sister island of Gozo.
We start by crossing the Gozo Channel with the ferry (20 minutes approximately) and once we land in Mgarr we start our culinary tour by heading towards Victoria, the capital city, to savour a typical Maltese morning snack "pastizzi" accompanied by tea or coffee in one of the coffee shops in the main square.
Then we are off to Rikardu's farm where we will learn the process of making the Gozitan cheese "gbjena" made with goat's milk. We will have the opportunity to taste the cheese as well as local wine and other products.
For lunch we go for a cooking session of your choice, whether is using the oldest stone oven on the island to bake a crunchy "ftira" or to a lovely state with one of the best Gozitan chefs.
To finish off, we end up in Dwejra to admire the natural arch known as Azzurre WIndow, with enough time on your own to enjoy the scenery, go on a boat ride (weather permitting) or why not go for a refreshing swim.
*One can also opt for a visit to Ggantija Temples (UNESCO World Heritage site) the oldest free standing megalithic buildings in the world.
