Arrive in

Visit Deir el Qamar (convent of the moon) , known as the city of the princes, one of the remaining historical places of Lebanon then go to Beiteddine (house of faith), visit the Palace built by the prince Beshir Shehab II, nice architectural oriental palace. It is the summer residence of the President of the Lebanese Republic. then proceed to the natural Cedar Reserve of Barouk , one of the Biggest in Lebanon.

 

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS:

The visit starts with Deir el Qamar, a nice historical village that was considered a historical monument, by the Unesco, known for its red roof houses, with nice decorated balconies (mandaloun) ,and its square,fountains, palaces. Known as the city of the princes (Emirs) because this is where the princes used to live. Next stop is at the Palace of Beiteddine, one of the nices palaces in Lebanon it is actually where the President lives but only during summer. It is known for its nice architecture, a mix of oriental and occidental touch, built by one of the lebanese princes Emir Beshir Shehab II (the great). Then proceed to the Natural Cedars reserve in the Barouk which is the biggest, it contains 5% of the lebanese territory with more than 3 million trees. It s considered as a Biosphere Reserve for Birds, salvage animals, and butterflies plus have different types of flowers. The Reserve also is known for it s water spring (Nabe= spring).
