From the idyllic village of Agios Nikolaos, crowned by the freshwater lagoon which joins the salt water of the sea, we will drive the coastal road through Elounda to the traditional fishering town of Plaka. There we will stop for a coffee overlooking the famous, former leper colony, Spinalonga Island.
From there the drive continues uphill and through a verdant valley, leading to the Orthodox Monasterydating from the 1400s.
Next we head downhill to the town of Neapoli, famous for its old and new olive presses, where we will taste Cretan virgin olive oil and learn about its production process.
With unforgettable memories we return to Agios Nikolaos where you will have enough time for a walk and shopping in its charming streets .
