Description

On the visit to the castles in the north of Copenhagen, you can appreciate the history of the Danish Monarchy. Frederiksborg Castle is known for the beautiful interior and baroque gardens. It was built by King Christian IV in the 17th century, where absolutist kings were crowned with royal residence until 1859. Today it is a National Museum.

Then, we head to the royal fortress of Kronborg, is 45 km from Copenhagen. This building is very famous since William Shakespeare used it to create "Hamlet." It was the center of several battles and invasions, especially against the Swedish army. This fortress was also declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site. From here, you can see fantastic views of Sweden's coast.
