About This Guide
Guide and lecturer since 2010, I took Art History and Archaeology at the University of Lyon 2. After obtaining a Master 1, I decided to attend the national tour guide training (promotion 2009-10) because I am passionate about history and the arts. I hope to use my acquired knowledge to promote our heritage. Guiding is a convivial time where we face works and trace it to the roots. Holding a professional card (carte n°GC 112 69 057 D), I often visit the tourist offices of the region Crémieu, Pérouges and Villefranche-sur-Saône, as well as the urban museum Tony Garnier de Lyon. I offer guided visits to Lyon - unavoidable originally themed tours - and its region all throughout the year to groups or individuals with an appointment of scheduled time. Curious, dynamic and passionate. I am not from that area, but I have now lived there for 10 years and learned the city, its region and what to appreciate. The sharing and exchange of the two values advocated during my tours are not like a conference with long monologues, no! A dialogue will be created between us because a guide always has to learn. For myself, the tour guide profession is very challenging. It is not static and has to evolve intellectually. The guide is constantly learning and with human nature. Stendhal would definitely not want me to borrow this phrase that keeps ringing in my head: "The purpose is to have a trade in passion." It is essential to take pleasure in doing this business because it becomes a time to meet, exchange, and share - for others or yourself.
